With the establishment of a chapter of the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network in Liberia, the Global Coordinating Unit has vetted and appointed a credible and experienced man to lead the chapter as Country Coordinator.
Mr. Garmonyou A. Sam is an Entomologist by profession and works for the Liberian Ministry of Agriculture as a Crop Resource Officer/Entomologist
While some people might be asking “Why Agriculture?”, Mr. Garmonyou believes that the right question should be “Why not Agriculture?”
Agriculture is everybody’s business and with the passion I have in the subject as it relates to the CSAYN mission. My country’s population is dominated by youth in different professional areas but Agriculture is gaining some favor and many of our youths are in the field. Therefore, bringing them together for this unique networking for agricultural development is paramount for a food-secure nation.
The new Liberian chapter Country Coordinator promises to continue working hard in making sure that most youths get themselves involved as per the background above to promote the vision of the organization and beyond expectation.
