The meeting was called to order by the CC (Garmonyou Aloysius Sam) at 1:00 PM with a silent prayer by the participants. The welcome remarks was given by Hon. Octavius Quarbo (Assistant Minister of Administration/Ministry of Agriculture).
Each participant then was self-introduced followed by a short presentation on climate smart agriculture youth network (CSAYN) by the CC aiming to acquaint the participants with the desired capacity, deliverables and key activities of CSAYN, etc. This was also followed by a period of interaction and discussion by the participants. The number of participants was a little over 70 persons who expressed their commitment and support to the process, from different agriculture universities in Liberia including farmers.
We also invited institutions that are involved with climate change activities in the country. Some of which include EPA, FDA, Youth Climate Change Initiative-Liberia (YCCI-L), etc. We are yet to engage other stakeholders in same regards.
